In 1826, Charles Samuel Osborne opened his company’s doors with the goal of supplying the finest quality leather, upholstery and industrial tools to professionals becoming one of the most well-known and successful manufacturers not only in the United States, but worldwide. Throughout the years and generations, C.S. Osborne & Co. has taken great care to continue providing the same painstaking craftmanship, quality, and service that has become their legacy. Much of the same mind, Schaeffertec’s appreciation of the past has also enabled them to develop markets and applications through dynamic and innovative engineering.
Beginning in 1876, Carl Schaeffer began his business manufacturing shoe fabrics, shoe fasteners, and eyelets and soon after different articles made of fine metals and premium raw materials in Germany – the same quality used today. The original self-locking fastener, LOXX®, truly brought Schaeffertec to the forefront of the industry in 1928 and with the production and know-how of the original fastener in their hands, Schaeffertec has been able to grow and adapt creating new ideas based on customer/product solution.
